1. Websites load faster
div tag based websites renders on your browser much faster as they are lighter in weight. The traditional table based sites with its nested table are bigger in file size because of the amount of lines of extra code to create the desired layouts. div tags however, are controlled through CSS and therefore require less code and keeps file sizes to a minimum.

2. Search Engine friendly
Website designed using CSS is SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) friendly as designer can keep the main article more on top enabling search engine to find your main content easily. As with table based design structure needs to be followed.

3. Save bandwidth
Website designed using div tags have smaller files size this means saving on your bandwidth. Imagine a high traffic website, whereby every page browsed by visitors you save small amount on bandwidth. This small amount of bandwidth saved could be significant at the end of a month or over a period of time.

4. Cleaner code
website designed using CSS and div tags produces cleaner code and forces designer/developer to write one too. Having a cleaner code allows search engine crawlers all the more easier to read actual content from your website.

5. Easier to maintain
websites designed using div are easier to maintain as layout are controlled from a single file. Making modification on a single file will reflect changes on all pages of website where that particular CSS has been used. Whereas in table based design you may have to make changes on all pages. For eg. let say you have a banner advertisement on all pages with certain height and width, and you wish to change this banner size then you will have to individually modify dimension (height and width) of your table on all the pages to reflect your new banner size.

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are used to separate the stylistic elements of a page such as layout, colour and fonts from the content of the page such as paragraphs and images. We call this Separation of Content from Presentation.
If you don't understand CSS at all then you may decide not to use it for your site. However I would suggest that the advantages to be gained from using CSS, not just for Google, are well worth the time invested in learning it.

So why is CSS good for Google?

* CSS allows for smaller file sizes
* CSS allows you greater control of page structure
* CSS allows you to hide certain content from browsers while it still gets picked up by Google

CSS allows for smaller file sizes
By taking styles out of the HTML page and putting it into a standalone (imported) style sheet (.css file), you can reduce the overall amount of code in your web pages. Pages with less code have smaller file sizes and Google prefers pages with smaller file sizes (many other search engines do too).
Though Google doesn't offer specific advice on this matter, the search engine optimisation community is generally agreed that 100KB is a good upper limit for page sizes.

CSS allows you greater control of page structure
CSS allows you to structure your document according to HTML standards without comprimising the look-and-feel of the page.
Google rewards pages that are well structured, though many designers choose to ignore standards and guidelines as much as possible, because they (incorrectly) believe standards lead to bland pages. Using CSS, designers can create attractive pages with much flair, while adhering to the findability design principles identified in the book (yes you'll have to buy it to get more!).

CSS allows you to hide content from browsers while it still gets picked up by Google
Using CSS you can hide content from certain browsers in certain situations. For example you may have some content that you only want to appear in print, or you may want certain content to only be shown on screen and not in print (such as page navigation). The advantage is that Google will still index all of the content and you will still get the benefit that content brings.

Browser Compatibility
If you are new to CSS, be aware that different browsers still interpret CSS standards in different ways, while some (very) old browsers don't read CSS at all. Ensure that your CSS is as cross-browser compatible as possible, and that your HTML pages look acceptable even without CSS.

DOING EVERYTHING RIGHT AT WORK?
If you find yourself cleaning out your desk and starting a new job every nine months to a year, the problem is you — not your boss or colleagues. You got hired because the boss thought you could do the job. But competence alone isn't enough to succeed. Be passionate about your work and take pride in it. Tossing things together at the last minute won't cut it.

Leisure: Many young employees speak about having fun at work. There's always an element of humour in a good office. Keep a thorough personality and like a good corporate citizen, remember that you work to make money for the company, not to have fun on the days between weekends.

Attitude: When you are in a doubt behave traditionally. Traditional values are still held in high esteem by most employers. Go out of your way to help people.

Protocol: Get a hang of all the internal meetings. Are they formal or informal? Is it acceptable to do other work on a laptop and occasionally check your cell phone for text messages, or would that drives the boss nuts? Have a checklist of each and every element that could matter.

Be straight forward: No one's perfect, and if you make a mistake immediately take full responsibility for it. Don't rebuke others, and certainly don't try to marsh it off on your immediate boss. Saying, "I'm sorry, my mistake. It won't happen again" will help you put all but hanging wrongdoings behind you.

Know what your role is: No one wants a whine or a yes-man, but if you fail to understand the corporate culture and if you don't know what's expected of you, you're gone. It's possible to fit in without squashing your creativity. Remember whom you work for and why.

Money isn't all: Don't create an impression that you're working just for a paycheck. Those are the hallmark of a clock-puncher and are likely to kill all chances for an appraisal. If you're extremely unsatisfied with your job that you live for the 15th and 30th of each month then it's time to start sending out résumés.

Maintain an image: Don't talk continuously about your life outside work. If you're having trouble in your personal life, keep it to one or two confidants. No one else at work needs to know — or more to the point wants to know — about your travails at home. Remember: There is no way that broadcasting your personal difficulties will improve your standing with the boss.

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor.

Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to hot coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones.

While it is but normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best cups and were eyeing each other's cups.

Drop the ego for enlightenment

Self image that is full of ego is a prison in which most of us live. This self image projects a world view defined by expectations of the ego and not the reality, says Swami Sukhabodhananda

Life is filled with truth, auspiciousness and beauty (satyam, shivam and sundaram) but our self is filled with a false ego. As long as the ego lives, we may not experience true beauty but our mind will be filled with dreams of expectations that define beauty in a subjective way. Ego is nothing but a self image of who we truly are. This self image projects a reality defined by the expectations of the ego. When these expectations are not fulfilled, it creates its own resentments and regrets.

These create a life of deficiency called ‘samsara’ and life becomes a movement from incompleteness to incompleteness. If one increases one’s awareness, which is a part of meditation, one realizes that resentment is nothing but a mental resentment to what has happened. It is a negative emotional fight of some unalterable past. Like a broken record one replays, relives the past injuries.

Then they become mental constructs which project a subjective reality and hence we never see the objective reality. This mental construct act as a thermostat. To change the temperature of the room one has to reset the thermostat, to change the temperature of the internal room one has to drop the ego. While listening to the chirping of the bird or music hear the foundation or the backbone of the sound. Look at the bird or the musician and see the formless presence in the form. Every form exists in a formless presence. A form is defined by the formless. It is only in the contrast the forms gets defined. This formless is the backbone of the form. Thoughts are moving. Any movement is change.

Change happens in the changeless presence. Thoughts are internal sounds. See the soundless space while noisy thoughts are moving. When one deeply “sees” which is called ‘Darshan’ in Sanskrit, then one sees a formless, soundless, changeless presence as the backbone or foundation of life. This principle cannot be contained in any self image and hence self image is a prison in which most of us live. To drop this prison is enlightenment.

Very rarely do you get to see such great films that touch your heart and make you a better person. Hats off to Aamir Khan for giving us an exceptional film. Exceptional, because it serves the higher purpose of art, cinema in this case.

‘Taare Zameen Par’ is about a little boy, or shall I say a little flower that has been nipped so many times in the bud that it begins to wilt. But then comes the gardener, the man who lets, and helps, the bud to flower fully.
The story of the movie: Ishaan Awasthi (Darsheel Safary), an 8 year old child, is different from all the other kids of his age. He is busy looking at dogs, fishes, colourful things etc and painting while the world around him is busy buried in their own work. He had failed in Std 3 and there was no improvement in him. His family consisted of his mother Maya (Tisca Chopra), Nandkishor (Vipin Sharma) and Yohaan (Sachet Engineer) who are all fed up of him. After repeated complaints, Ishaan’s father decided to admit him in a boarding school so that he’ll learn discipline there and become a studious and obedient boy.

Ishaan refused to go and pleaded but his pleas fell on deaf ears. Finally, he was admitted. There his life remain unchanged and plus, he had to bear the trauma of separation from his family. Slowly, he became an introvert and stopped talking as no one understood him. One day, a new art teacher came to their school, Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Aamir Khan). An enjoyable and cheerful man, he was not like the rest of the ‘disciplined’ types teacher. He loved and taught his students to enjoy life and to bring out their emotions by painting. He spotted the sad, scared and lonely Ishaan and decided to help him.

Aamir, the dependable Khan, is up to his credentials as an actor. But it is as the director that he scores. Aamir has handled the subject with great sensitivity. His cinema is not about style but substance. Without straying into the usual trappings of a regular Bollywood film and at the same time blending the superb songs by Shankar Ehsaan Loy smoothly in the narrative, Aamir keeps TZP focused solely on the story and its essence.
And what a story it is. Amole Gupte deserves no less credit for penning such a touching tale. It is a story that shows the helplessness of a kid who is not able to perform tasks that are beyond his abilities. It also shows the lack of understanding on part of teachers and parents while dealing with such kids. And, last but not the least, it is a story of hope. It is a story that not just touches you but also transforms you. That, for me, is the higher purpose of art. And that is precisely why ‘Taare Zameen Par’ is an exceptional film.

Son: "Daddy, may I ask you a question"

Daddy: "Yeah sure, what it is?"

Son: "Dad, how much do you make an hour"

Daddy: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?"

Son: "I just want to know. Please tel! l me, how much do you make an hour?"

Daddy: "I make Rs. 500 an hour"

"Oh", the little boy replied, with his head down.

Looking up, he said, "Dad, may I please borrow Rs. 300?"

The father was furious, "if the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or other nonsense, then march yourself to your room and go to bed.
Think why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior"

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions.

How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think:

"May be there was something he really needed to buy with that

Rs. 300 and he really didn't ask for money very often!"

The man went to the door of little boy's room and opened the door.
"Are you a! sleep, son?" He asked.
"No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.

"I've been thinking, may be I was too hard on you earlier", said the man, "It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you.
Here's the Rs.300 you asked for"

The little boy sat straight up, smiling "oh thank you dad!" He yelled.

Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled some crippled up notes.
The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, then looked up at his father.

"Why do you want money if you already had some?" the father grumbled.

"Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied.

"Daddy I have Rs. 500 now. Can I buy an hour of your time?

Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you"

MORAL OF THE STORY

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life.
! We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter
of days.

But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.
